Be a part of our story. The Illinois Fermentation and Agriculture Biomanufacturing (iFAB) Tech Hub was awarded $51M in implementation funding in July 2024. This federally-funded program has a goal of becoming a global leader in biomanufacturing and precision fermentation over the next decade. The economic development mission of the Hub is an exciting opportunity to engage with partners across the Central Illinois region and the state.
iFAB is led by the Integrated Bioprocessing Research Laboratory (IBRL) in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering. IBRL serves as the home for the Office of Regional Innovation for iFAB and the goals of both organizations will be aligned.
